 Technological process JSC "Polotsk-Steklovolokno" incorporates all technological transmitions - from deriving, handling, preparation of components of fusion mixture to deriving finish products.
 Batch preparation
The technological line for preparation of batch components is well equipped with modern process equipment designed for drying, griniding and classifying of any natural minerals with the aim of bringing them up to the requirements of the process. The capacity of equipment allows to completely satisfy own needs and the demand of the customers.
 Glass melting
Glass melting is effected in various furnaces where modern refractory materials are used and high degree of automatic control and adjustment of the melting process is ensured.
Glass fibre forming
There are two production processes for glass fibre forming: direct melting process and marble process. The major part of total glass fibre output is produced by direct melting process. The marble process is used for the production of glass fibres for special applications. The modern technical equipment of glass fibre forming process allows to produce of 2-1200 tex with thickness from 4 to 17 microns.
Twisting, playing
The equipment of unwinding and twisting department allows to produce the yarns of configuration with various number of plies and twists depending on further areas of applications.
 Warping, sizing
For the weaving process it is necessary to prepare warp which represents the system of glass yarns wound in parallel onto warp beam. After the warp is prepared it is subjected to additional treatment, i.e. application of the sizing agent for the protection of the yarns during weaving process. The warping and sizing processes are carried out on the modern warping and sizing equipment.
Weaving
Taking into account the requirements to the glass fabrics and a vast area of their application, weaving department has extensive stock of modern weaving equipment allowing to produce any types of glass fabrics as to their width, density, thickness, type of weave with the use of various glass types.
As the request of the customer any type of glass fabric can be subjected to thermal and chemical treatment, i.e. variuos impregnating agents can be applied.In order to provide full service to the customer it is possible to apply the logo to the glass fabric and to cut the glass fabric edge.
